Instagram has taken the game to the next level with the addition of the Instastory feature. Although a majority of the users make fun of the fact that Instagram copied the idea from Snapchat, everyone was quick to jump at the chance to share more of their lives on Instagram.
The Instastory is a feature on Instagram that allows the user to display photos and videos that were taken recently and is put on display for 24 hours. Think of it as a live update or a recap to your day. This new feature also allows you to see which of your followers has viewed your story (and how many times they’ve replayed it. How cool is that?!). New to the app and don’t know how to go about it? Here are a few simple steps on adding photos and videos to your Instagram story:
4 Steps To Adding Photos and Videos to Instagram Stories
1) After opening the Instagram app, tap on the Camera icon found in the upper left corner to add a new story.
2) From here, you can choose to take a quick photo or a video by tapping and holding the center button. If you have a photo already taken for uploading to your Instastory, we want to bring up our photo library. All we have to do is pull up or drag up on the screen, and voila! Your images will appear on the screen.
3) Now that your library’s displayed at the bottom, you can select which photos and videos you want to upload!
Oh yeah, and one more thing: It’s important to note that only the pictures and videos you’ve taken in the last 24 hours will be available for sharing. Anything that was taken before hand will not be displayed. With videos, nothing longer than 10 seconds can be featured.
4) Customize your posts with stickers, emojis, locations! Stories allow you to add your own personal twist to anything you update. They have a ton of filters, stickers, emojis, and location options you can choose from. Use them to tell people where you are, draw some extra characters into your stories, or just go crazy with emojis. The creative possibilities are endless!
